1. Why does my Google Action say that “Eaton are powered by Amazon Alexa”?
Eaton uses software on your smart home device that uses Amazon services to connect to the
internet, and receive software updates. It also uses Alexa services to control your smart home
device whether you interact with Alexa or with other voice assistants, such as Google. It requires an
Amazon account and some data related to the use of your smart features will be recorded by
Amazon.
2. Why am I required to Login with Amazon to link my device to Google?
All smart home devices require customers to associate the device with a customer account for
security reasons. This device uses software that requires an Amazon account to connect to the
devices’ smart features.
3. How do I delete all the data associated with this device?
Your Google activity data can be deleted at myactivity.google.com. To delete Eaton data, make a
request with your device serial number at <link> or call <#>. You must also make a delete request on
Amazon’s Privacy dashboard <link>. To stop recording any new data, you must disconnect the smart
features of the device.
4. How do I unlink my Google Action?
To unlink your Google Action, you must go to the Google Home app, click on the Action, and press
“Unlink”.

6. How do I deregister this device?
You can deregister your device by doing a manual factory reset or you can press the delete button
for that device in the Alexa App. Deregistering does not delete the data in your account, you must
submit a delete request in order to delete the data in your account.
