Achieving future emissions regulations and fuel economy requirements are driving demand for new engine and aftertreatment technologies.

Stringent future emission regulations and carbon neutrality goals are driving demand for greener, cleaner and highly efficient internal combustion engines (ICE). Eaton develops innovative solutions for hydrogen and alternative fuels ICE, including a high power decompression Engine Brake (1.5 stroke EB and 2 strokes EB) and Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) solutions. Eaton’s portfolio includes products for cleaner and more efficient diesel engines such as Late Intake Valve Closing (LIVC) and Cylinder Deactivation (CDA).

Our 48-volt aftertreatment e-heater controller helps commercial vehicle manufacturers reduce harmful NOx emissions by up to 70%. Designed for high efficiency and accurate power output, the e-heater controller rapidly warms the diesel exhaust aftertreatment catalyst and keeps it warm during low engine load operation.
